Beer Friday - La biere du vendredi

Here in the lab, everything is done for people to interact and feel at ease. It seems to be an american things as we were also doing that at SUN (even if it did not really work with chinese people who tended to come, pile food on a plate and bring it back to their cube). Here in the bio lab they have the 3 o'clock tea time, and in the microscope lab they have the ber friday. The idea is simple, from 5 o clock, every friday there are foods and ... beers. Every week one of the lab fellow pays for it. 40 dollars are given by the lab, and everytime one gets a beer he/she is suppose to give one buck. I hope we could have done that in china or france :D

Au labo ici , tout est fait pour que l ambiance soit bonne. On dirait que c est vraiment typiquement americain, on faisait la meme chose a SUN en chine (meme si la bas ca marchait moins bien pour des raisons culturelles: les chinois avaient tendance a venir prendre des choses a manger, faire des provisions sur une assiette et la ramener a leur cube). ici le lab de bio a le gouter de 3 heure et le lab de microscopie a la biere du vedredi. le principe est simple, chaque vendredi a 5 heure quelqu un apporte a manger et a boire. Le labo fourni 40 dollars et ceux qui boivent de l'alcool donnent un dollar par bouteille. J'aurais bien aime ca en france ou en chine (the vert et repas vegetarien...).
